Workflows

For partners who are not maintaining their own database of user credentials:

To create a custom signup and login page
  1. Implement prompted signup. See Signing Up New Users .

  2. Implement prompted authentication. See Authenticating.

  3. Load the account in the Revelator web interface. See Redirecting Authenticated Users to the Web Interface.

To create a custom signup and login page and maintain the ability to perform unattended API requests

Note

This implementation enables you to retrieve an access token both when your user provides their credentials or on behalf of your user (without user interaction).

  1. Implement prompted signup. See Signing Up New Users .

  2. For the custom login page, implement prompted authentication, and then load the account in the Revelator web interface. See Authenticating. and Redirecting Authenticated Users to the Web Interface.

  3. For unattended API requests, implement unprompted authentication, and then implement the desired Revelator API requests. See Authenticating.

For partners who are maintaining their own database of user credentials:

To direct users to the Revelator application with unattended authentication
  1. Implement unprompted signup. See Signing Up New Users.

  2. Implement unprompted authentication. See Authenticating.

  3. Load the account in the Revelator web interface. See Redirecting Authenticated Users to the Web Interface.

To provide Revelator functionality in a custom application
  1. Implement unprompted signup. See Signing Up New Users.

  2. Implement unprompted authentication. See Authenticating.

  3. Implement the desired Revelator API requests using the access token retrieved with authentication.
